We are proud to be supporting this fast expanding, scientiic Company in finding a new Operations Manager!
The position is based at the site near Lower Earley in Wokingham. The company was introduced to the UK in 2019 and, since then, has acquired boutique style scientific companies in Canada, America and Europe.
The successful Operations Manager will manage the design and control of business operations to ensure streamlined production of goods and services. One of the primary roles of the operations manager will be to optimise day-to-day activities and streamline workflows to enhance profitability.
You will be overseeing high-level HR duties, upkeeping quality control and safety measures and analysing and improving organisational processes.
The position calls for some unique skills that make you highly effective in managing teams and resources, by analysing key metrics and using the insights gained to allocate resources effectively.
The position is seeking a strong Production Manager (ideally from within the science/pharma arena, along with excellent people management ability and the drive and insight to ensure that the company are producing goods in time, meeting supplier demand and that the team are motivated and able to manage the upturn of business
These combined skills will support the wider Company in it's vision to grow and expand it's market stream and ensure full profitabily.
Communication throughout the business is fundamental to it's sucess and the Operations Manager will play an integral part in ensuring that all personnel understand the company's goals and objectives and the important part they play in achieving them.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related (technical) discipline is a huge plus in this role. Project management, finance, statistics, accounting, and behavioural science are just some of the studies that can be put to use on this role.
Operations Manager experience requirements
Successful operations management relies on extensive experience in making policies, the ability to devise definite plans and dedication to accomplish goals. An Operations Manager needs at least three to five years of experience in operations management, project management or similar roles. Experience in general budgeting, including profit and loss, cash-flow management and balance sheets is also helpful in organising the company’s budget.
Practical knowledge of budgeting, cash-flow regulation, maintaining balance sheets and monitoring the profit and loss statements
Ability to create a good plan and determination to accomplish goals
Experience with statistical analysis and data processing
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good data analysis, planning and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good leadership qualities with the ability to provide direction
